Full‑time Caretaker & Gardener for Wedding Venues

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Caretaker‑Gardener to maintain two beautiful wedding gardens in West Auckland. You will keep the grounds pristine, safe and welcoming for both events and everyday use, working closely with the venue team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, flower beds, shrubs and trees, including mowing, pruning, seasonal planting and mulching.
• Perform routine garden upkeep such as watering, fertilising, pest control and soil health monitoring.
• Maintain irrigation systems, garden tools and equipment, ordering supplies when needed.
• Carry out general venue maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, cleaning, waste management and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Prepare the gardens for weddings and other events, ensuring all areas meet the venue’s high standards and assisting with set‑up and breakdown of décor.

Required profile

• Reliable and able to work independently with a proactive attitude.
• Physical fitness to handle outdoor and manual tasks.
• Interest in horticulture and garden maintenance.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with venue staff.
• Flexibility to work occasional extended hours during events.
