Front Office Duty Manager

About the role

JO&JOE is looking for a Front Office Duty Manager to lead the guest experience in its Auckland property. You will be the main point of contact for guests and the front‑office team, ensuring smooth operations day and night while delivering the energetic, welcoming atmosphere the brand is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests from check‑in to check‑out with personalised service.
• Supervise, coach and schedule the reception team to maintain impeccable service standards.
• Manage cash registers, verify accounts and oversee proper payment handling.
• Address guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Promote hotel services such as the shop, restaurant and events.
• Report essential information to management and ensure clear communication within the team.
• Act as the ‘yes’ person, tackling challenges of any size.
• Guarantee a flawless customer experience at all times.

Required profile

• Impeccable sense of welcome and customer service.
• Natural ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
• Strong organisational and priority‑management skills.
• Effective communication in all situations.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the MEWS operating system (preferred).
