Freight Operator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Freight Operator to join our Mount Maunganui branch of Team Global Express NZ. In this hands‑on position you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, scanning and sorting parcels, and ensuring that goods move safely and on time across our road and rail network.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload freight for both road and rail units safely and securely.
• Scan and sort freight efficiently to meet on‑time performance targets.
• Operate all handling equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively within the team.
• Support branch operational objectives and adhere to health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence.
• Valid forklift licence with OSH certification.
• Dangerous goods endorsement (preferred).
• Customer‑focused attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.
