About the role

We are looking for a creative freelance marketer to boost the Instagram presence of a well‑established dog walking and boarding business in Montreal. You will turn a rich archive of daily dog photos and videos into a growing, engaging community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a tailored Instagram growth strategy to increase followers and engagement.
• Analyze existing content and audience insights to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
• Advise on content themes, posting schedules, and hashtag tactics.
• Create and schedule posts, stories, and reels to maintain a consistent presence.
• Monitor analytics, produce regular performance reports, and suggest optimisation actions.
• Identify community‑building and collaboration opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing and growing Instagram accounts, preferably for small businesses or pet‑related brands.
• Strong grasp of Instagram algorithms, trends, and best practices.
• Creative eye for visual storytelling and content curation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to give actionable marketing advice.
• Self‑motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
• Passion for animals or familiarity with the pet industry is a plus.
