About the role

The Food Services Team Leader will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen at Levin Home for War Veterans, ensuring that meals are nutritious, delicious, and meet the complex dietary requirements of our elders. This is a full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday position offering a balanced 40‑hour work week.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals daily, maintaining high standards of taste and nutrition.
• Coordinate the Weekend Cook and Kitchen Hands to ensure seamless service.
• Manage kitchen resources cost‑effectively, including budgeting and waste reduction.
• Maintain a hygienic, well‑organised kitchen environment compliant with food safety standards.
• Lead, mentor, and schedule the kitchen team to deliver consistent service.
