Food & Beverage Supervisor – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Join Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as a Food & Beverage Supervisor and lead the delivery of five‑star luxury service across multiple outlets, including the restaurant, bar, club lounge, minibar and in‑room dining. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure every guest experience reflects the brand’s French Art de Vivre.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of all food & beverage outlets.
• Lead, train and motivate a team of ambassadors to maintain 5‑star service standards.
• Address guest concerns and special requests promptly and proactively.
• Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure menu items meet hotel quality standards.
• Monitor inventory, place orders and control stock levels.
• Promote campaigns and events to drive revenue.
• Analyse training needs and deliver group or individual sessions.
• Conduct briefings and meetings to share performance feedback and strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in food & beverage, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong emotional intelligence and a passion for luxury hospitality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven leadership, team‑working and schedule‑management abilities.
• Ability to solve problems quickly in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Barista experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food‑handling best practices.
• Understanding of inventory management and ordering processes.
