Food & Beverage Attendant

About the role

Join the team at Movenpick Hotel Wellington as a Food & Beverage Attendant, delivering memorable dining experiences to guests in a 5‑star waterfront setting. This part‑time role offers a dynamic, guest‑focused environment with flexible rotating shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver meals and drinks to tables promptly.
• Clear tables, reset and maintain a clean dining area.
• Handle guest queries, requests and complaints with care.
• Process payments using POS systems and manage cash/card transactions.
• Restock supplies and keep service stations tidy.
• Follow hygiene, safety and food‑handling procedures at all times.
• Support colleagues and work collaboratively as part of the team.
• Set up and pack down service areas as required.
• Communicate dietary needs or guest concerns to the kitchen team.
• Complete daily cleaning and closing checklists.

Required profile

• Friendly, professional attitude with a passion for hospitality.
• Previous experience in food & beverage, bar, barista or hotel service is preferred but not essential.
• Comfortable operating coffee machines or working behind a bar (training provided).
• Team player able to adapt to a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and time‑management abilities.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift light trays or equipment.
• Flexibility to work a rotating 7‑day roster with shifts from 6 am to late night.
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• NZ citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa (no sponsorship available).
