Food & Beverage Attendant

About the role

Join the Food & Beverage team at Ibis Wellington and create memorable dining experiences for guests across breakfast, lunch and dinner services. This part‑time position offers a dynamic, fast‑paced environment in a vibrant hotel setting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them promptly.
• Clear tables, reset dining areas and maintain cleanliness.
• Handle guest queries, requests and complaints with care.
• Process payments using POS systems and manage cash/card transactions.
• Restock supplies, keep service stations tidy and follow hygiene, safety and food‑handling procedures.
• Communicate dietary needs or concerns to the kitchen team.
• Support colleagues, set up and pack down service areas, and complete daily cleaning and closing checklists.

Required profile

• Flexibility to work a rotating 7‑day roster with shifts from 6:00 am to late night.
• Part‑time availability, paid at $25.42 per hour.
• Friendly, professional attitude and passion for hospitality.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift light trays or equipment.
• NZ citizenship, permanent residency or a valid work visa (no sponsorship).

Required skills

• Operation of POS (point‑of‑sale) systems.
• Handling cash and card transactions.
• Use of coffee machines or bar equipment (training provided).
• Basic food safety and hygiene practices.
