Flight Attendant – Auckland Base (Expression of Interest)

About the role

Air New Zealand is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join its Cabin Crew Whanau on a full‑time basis at the Auckland base. As a Flight Attendant you will be the face of the airline, ensuring every passenger enjoys a safe, comfortable and memorable journey from boarding to arrival.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of passenger safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Deliver exceptional Kiwi hospitality, addressing passenger needs and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage in‑flight service, including food, beverage and cabin cleanliness.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to any emergency or unexpected situation.
• Uphold Air New Zealand’s grooming and uniform standards at all times.

Required profile

• NZ or Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or the right to work in either country.
• Valid passport with at least two years remaining.
• Minimum age of 18 at the time of application.
• At least two years of proven experience in a high‑pressure, customer‑facing role (preferred).
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Physical fitness to perform duties on foot for extended periods and handle luggage.
• Willingness to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to communicate safety and compliance information clearly.
• Japanese language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
