Flexographic Printer

About the role

A recruiter is looking for a skilled Flexographic Printer to join their client in Christchurch. The role suits someone who takes pride in precision, quality and continuous improvement, within a company that supports a long-term career. It is a full-time position with night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Meet KPIs, production and quality requirements
• Set up, adjust parameters and run flexographic printing presses
• Match colours and inks to customer specifications
• Monitor operations and print quality throughout production runs
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
• Accurately record production records (run time, downtime, waste reporting) and follow safety, quality and company procedures

Required profile

• Trade qualification or equivalent; minimum 3 years of experience in printing
• Experience operating flexographic presses, preferably wide web
• Ability to lift up to 25kg and stand for long periods
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills, and a good attitude
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed

Required skills

• Printing on LDPE, PET, BOPP, HDPE or similar substrates
• Colour matching and attention to detail
• Beneficial: packaging industry experience, food safety and hygiene standards, central impression presses (Miraflex or similar) and solvent-based ink
