First Aid Trainer – Casual Roles Across New Zealand

About the role

Join Triple One Care as a First Aid Trainer and deliver practical, engaging first aid training to communities, workplaces, schools and other groups across New Zealand. These positions are offered on a casual basis with flexible availability, allowing you to choose the regions and hours that suit you.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first aid courses (basic to advanced) to organisations, healthcare professionals, schools and community groups.
• Facilitate hands‑on, scenario‑based learning and assess participant competence.
• Travel to assigned regions (Auckland, Northland, Bay of Plenty, Hastings/Gisborne, Taupo, Wellington, Otago, Southland) as required.
• Maintain training records and ensure compliance with NZQA Unit Standard 4098.
• Complete police vetting and uphold health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Clinical health background or trauma first‑responder experience (NZ or international).
• NZQA Unit Standard 4098 required, or commitment to obtain it within 90 days of start.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand and willingness to undergo police vetting.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Desirable: training, education or facilitation background; NZRC ECI or equivalent qualification; adult‑education qualification.

Required skills

• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation abilities.
• Capability to engage confidently with diverse groups and learning styles.
• Excellent English language proficiency.
