Kia ora! As the Financial Planning Manager you will shape the financial future of Air New Zealand, supporting long-term decisions that drive growth, resilience and performance across the airline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the contribution of Corporate Finance to the airline’s 5‑Year Plan, translating strategic assumptions and industry trends into a coherent long‑term financial outlook.
• Develop and enhance integrated financial models for planning, valuation, capital management, funding, treasury and investment decisions.
• Analyse the financial impact of network, fleet, commercial and strategic initiatives on earnings, cash flow, liquidity and balance‑sheet performance.
• Provide robust business‑case analysis, including ROI, NPV, cash‑flow and risk assessment, to support investment governance.
• Partner with senior leaders to challenge assumptions, evaluate trade‑offs and improve the quality of investment proposals.
• Support capital management and funding activities through scenario modelling and balance‑sheet assessments.
• Deliver clear insights and recommendations to senior management to influence strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in corporate finance, financial planning, investment analysis, transaction advisory, consulting or banking.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link financial outcomes to operational and strategic drivers.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable working through ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• High integrity, curiosity and a collaborative problem‑solving approach.
