Finance Officer – New Zealand

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Officer to own the day‑to‑day financial administration of CowManager in New Zealand. You will act as the primary finance contact for local customers and colleagues while collaborating closely with our Global Finance team in the Netherlands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing and collections.
• Perform bank, debtor and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support month‑end close.
• Support GST compliance and overall financial administration.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customer account enquiries.
• Handle overdue accounts and arrange payment plans.
• Assist with financial reporting, cash‑flow monitoring and budgeting.
• Provide accurate financial information to local and global stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Customer Success and Operations teams.

Required profile

• Organised and proactive finance professional who works independently.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Effective communicator with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience in finance, accounting, accounts receivable or financial administration.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, Business Central or SAP.
• Strong reconciliation and financial administration abilities.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and GST processes.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
