Finance Manager – Site Lead in Hokitika

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing business in New Zealand's primary sector, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the on‑site finance function in Hokitika. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with operational, production and senior management teams, you will be central to delivering financial insight that drives commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, costing and asset management activities for the site.
• Provide timely financial insights and performance reports to senior management.
• Partner with operational leaders to support business performance and decision‑making.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting and processes.
• Lead and develop the on‑site finance team, including a Cost Accountant and Asset Accountant.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team and collaborate with cross‑functional leaders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, change‑driven environment.
