Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large and complex government organisation. In this role you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, turning financial data into clear commercial insights that support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide financial advice, challenge assumptions and support decision‑making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes across a diverse portfolio.
• Prepare and present financial analysis, reports and performance dashboards.
• Contribute to business cases, investment proposals and strategic initiatives.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation.
• Support business performance monitoring and variance analysis.
• Assist in resource allocation and cost optimisation.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven Finance Business Partner experience in a large or complex organisation.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience developing budgets, forecasts and business cases.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
