Finance Business Partner

About the role

Wētā Workshop is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its finance team in Wellington. The role supports the business by delivering financial insight, reporting and strategic analysis to help drive creative projects forward.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly financial reports covering revenue, margin and trends.
• Track and report both financial and non‑financial KPIs, highlighting successes and early risks.
• Partner with business units to improve financial accuracy and overall performance.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts for revenue, gross margin, expenses and EBITDA, including pipeline tracking.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to finance processes and systems.

Required profile

• Strong experience in commercial financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing or services.
• Proven ability to deliver clear financial reporting and provide commercially‑focused recommendations.
• Experience producing budgets and maintaining continuous forecasts.
• Demonstrated skill in building effective partnerships with stakeholders.
• Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent) and solid understanding of accounting/reporting software.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with journal processing and accounts payable checks.
