Finance Associate

About the role

The Finance Associate will join ANZ's CFO Units in Auckland or Wellington, supporting the bank's financial performance and strategic decision‑making. You will work across multiple finance teams, gaining broad exposure while helping to maintain strong financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Support a variety of finance teams, building capability and gaining cross‑functional exposure.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows and uphold financial integrity.
• Contribute to financial modelling, analysis and the creation of forward‑looking insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to address real business issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business partners.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in business structures and industry trends.
• Commitment to an inclusive team culture and ability to thrive in diverse environments.
• Effective communication skills for delivering key messages.
• Sound decision‑making using data and insights.
• At least 3 years of experience in a finance or related environment (preferred).
