Finance Administrator

About the role

The Finance Administrator will support the day‑to‑day financial operations of Health Hawke's Bay, a Primary Health Organisation serving the Hawke's Bay region. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role ensures accurate processing of payments, payroll and financial records while providing responsive service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Administer payroll for staff, including calculations, deductions and reporting.
• Prepare and issue invoices, manage employee reimbursements and conduct regular reconciliations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Provide financial information and assistance to colleagues, suppliers and other external parties as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in finance administration, covering payroll, accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team.
• Familiarity with the primary healthcare sector is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar accounting systems.
