Field Service Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Field Service Technician to inspect, service and repair Elevated Work Platform (EWP) access equipment across New Zealand. If you have experience with forklifts or similar plant machinery, you will receive full training on access equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, service and repair EWP access equipment at customer sites.
• Prioritise on‑site repairs and travel to locations, including occasional overnight stays.
• Complete accurate job notes, inspection forms and related administration.
• Liaise with technical support, follow manuals and conduct van audits and stock takes.
• Identify service or sales leads when opportunities arise.
• Maintain labour utilisation targets and support the branch team as needed.

Required profile

• Background in forklifts, access equipment, plant or heavy machinery.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding abilities.
• Customer‑focused and comfortable working independently.
• EWP/MEWP licence preferred or willingness to obtain one.
