Field Service Technician – Forklift Repairs (Masterton)

About the role

We are looking for a permanent, full‑time Field Service Technician to join our team in South Wairarapa. You will travel across the Wellington to Gisborne region performing on‑site repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of battery‑electric and internal‑combustion forklifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field‑based mechanical and electrical repairs on various forklift models.
• Conduct routine maintenance and diagnostics to ensure equipment reliability.
• Travel to customer sites, respond to on‑call rosters and occasional overtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and use IT systems for reporting.
• Handle manual loading tasks safely and adhere to health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience with material handling equipment, diesel, auto‑electrical, motor mechanics or hydraulics (or equivalent trade qualification).
• Customer‑focused attitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Team player willing to support colleagues.
• Physically fit for manual handling and able to pass a pre‑employment medical, drug & alcohol test and hold a valid driver’s licence.
