Field Service Engineer - Auckland

About the role

NCR Voyix is a global provider of unified commerce platforms for shopping and dining, serving customers in more than 35 countries. As a Field Service Engineer (Customer Engineer I) in Auckland, you will use the company fleet vehicle and provided tools to visit customer sites and deliver onsite resolutions in your assigned territory. You report to the NZ Operations Manager and join the APAC Field Services team, with product training at start and ongoing access to Global Technical Support Services. New Zealand permanent residence or citizenship is required.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Self Check Out (SCO) and Point of Sale (POS) machines and other NCR Voyix products
• Perform periodic preventative maintenance, diagnose problems, make repairs and replace components or modules
• Manage parts and organise them accurately
• Report calls, activity and expenses promptly, and capture customer asset data needed for invoicing and billing
• Complete continuous training online and in classrooms, and work autonomously in the field and office
• Own customer problems until they are resolved to the customer's satisfaction or in line with agreed SLAs
• Occasional regional and in-country travel, including overnight stays, may be required
• Meet key performance indicators while keeping costs, safety and quality in mind

Required profile

• Basic computer skills, including Windows OS navigation and basic Microsoft Office
• Experience in PC hardware maintenance and support
• High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Valid New Zealand driver's licence
• Ability to work non-standard shifts, including a weekend day
• Must live in New Zealand and hold NZ residence or citizenship

Preferred qualifications

• Electro-mechanical device repair experience
• Previous experience with NCR or similar equipment
• Recognised qualification in electronics or IT
