Field Merchandising Team Leader (Dunedin to Timaru)

About the role

Goodman Fielder is hiring a Field Merchandising Team Leader for a 6-month fixed-term contract, covering the Dunedin to Timaru region. You will lead a team of Merchandisers, making sure the company's brands are well stocked, professionally presented and easy for customers to find. It is a hands-on role involving strong store relationships and field support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day execution of the merchandising programme across the region.
• Coach, motivate and develop the team, keeping them well trained and set up for success.
• Ensure products are available, well stocked and professionally presented in-store.
• Build strong working relationships with store teams at Woolworths NZ, Foodstuffs and other retail partners.
• Work with the Regional Field Manager to deliver merchandising priorities and improve in-store performance.
• Support the team with hands-on merchandising and manual handling when needed.
• Use technology and systems, including Salesforce and retailer platforms, to support field execution.

Required profile

• Experience leading, coaching or motivating a team.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent planning, organisation and attention to detail.
• A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to get stuck in with the team.
• FMCG or merchandising experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Current driver's licence and valid New Zealand working rights are essential.

• Confidence using technology and learning new systems; training provided.
• Use of Salesforce and retailer platforms.
