Family Court Co-ordinator

About the role
The Family Court Co-ordinator supports the operation of the Family Court by coordinating specialist services and managing key relationships with the judiciary, legal practitioners, court users and community groups. This permanent full‑time role is part of the Domestic Violence Programmes Team, ensuring timely delivery of domestic violence programmes across Family and Criminal Court jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate specialist services within the Family Court environment.
- Manage relationships with management, the judiciary, professional service providers, legal practitioners, court users and community groups.
- Support the Domestic Violence Team in delivering programmes across Family and Criminal Courts.
- Interpret and apply relevant legislation to ensure compliance.
Required profile
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to juggle competing demands in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑motivated with high levels of initiative.
- Commitment to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Experience or knowledge of Family Court procedures and legislation.
- Strong analytical skills for legislative interpretation.
- Proficient computer literacy.
