Export Operator – International Freight & Logistics

About the role

Hillebrand Gori, a specialist within DHL Global Forwarding, is looking for a proactive Export Operator to manage export shipments for the wine, beer and spirits sector. You will coordinate documentation, bookings and transport while ensuring compliance with New Zealand and destination‑country regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, release and amend shipment documents, storing them in the Flow system.
• Ensure all exports meet New Zealand regulations and the requirements of the destination country.
• Arrange bookings for full‑container loads (FCL), less‑than‑container loads (LCL), consolidations and air freight.
• Liaise with NZ Customs, MPI, Chambers of Commerce and other authorities as needed.
• Monitor regulatory changes and promptly escalate compliance concerns.
• Organise transport collections from customers, wineries, warehouses and suppliers.
• Coordinate warehouse receivals, container packing and cargo handling.
• Maintain full financial responsibility for assigned shipment files.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding and export operations.
• Experience with sea freight and air freight processes.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing financial shipment files.
• Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
