Export Air Operator – International Freight Logistics

About the role

You will be the essential link between customers, airlines, and our warehouse, ensuring that every international air shipment is booked, documented, and dispatched smoothly and on time. This position plays a critical part in keeping Mondiale VGL’s freight operations running efficiently across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Handle bookings via phone and email, secure space with airlines, and coordinate pickups and cargo loads with Transport and Warehouse teams.
• Prepare and verify all export documentation, manage invoicing, file post‑flight paperwork, and compile monthly console schedules.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, respond to enquiries promptly, resolve issues, and maintain professional relationships.
• Follow health and safety procedures, report incidents, and complete training in Dangerous Goods, Customs, Security, and Load & Restraint.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in export operations, air freight, or international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation requirements, customs regulations, and New Zealand export procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously with high attention to detail.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and capacity to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Experience with CargoWise freight system (preferred).
• Proficiency in logistics management systems and cargo tracking software.
