Experienced Vineyard Machinery Operator

About the role

Mount Base Vineyards is seeking an experienced operator to run and maintain vineyard machinery across its 94‑hectare estate in the Waihopi Valley. This full‑time, on‑site position offers a hands‑on environment where you will take real ownership of daily vineyard operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Fendt vineyard machinery for planting, pruning, spraying and harvesting tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and minor repairs on all equipment.
• Coordinate with the small vineyard team to ensure timely completion of seasonal work.
• Monitor field conditions and adjust machinery settings to optimise productivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating agricultural or vineyard machinery, preferably Fendt models.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for equipment safety.
• Strong physical stamina for outdoor, seasonal work.
• Willingness to work flexible hours during peak vineyard periods.
