Experienced Chef – Flexible Shifts in Wellington

About the role

We are looking for experienced chefs who want flexible, varied work across Wellington’s top hospitality venues. You will rotate through restaurants, cafés, hotels, catering firms, corporate events, aged‑care facilities and premium hospitality operations, gaining exposure to different kitchen styles.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high‑quality dishes in a range of kitchen environments.
• Support existing kitchen teams during service, events and functions.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards at all venues.
• Adapt quickly to new menus, equipment and team dynamics.
• Ensure timely delivery of food while working under pressure.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a chef in busy hospitality, catering or commercial kitchens.
• Strong culinary passion and ability to deliver consistent quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, professional attitude with reliable transport (advantageous).
• Open and unrestricted working rights in New Zealand.
