Experienced Bike Mechanic

About the role

99 Bikes is looking for an experienced bike mechanic to join our workshop team in Christchurch Central. You will work on a variety of bicycles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and performing at their best for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and drivetrain issues on all bike types.
• Perform routine maintenance, tune‑ups, and safety checks.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop environment.
• Assist customers with technical advice and product recommendations.
• Support training initiatives through the Bicycle Academy program.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a bike mechanic in a retail or workshop setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
• Willingness to pursue further certification through the Bicycle Academy.
