Executive Business Support Manager

About the role

Join TVNZ's News & Content leadership as an Executive Business Support Manager. You will be the operational backbone for the Chief News & Content Officer and the leadership team, ensuring the delivery of strategic initiatives with purpose, pace, and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational support to the Chief News & Content Officer and senior leadership.
• Drive operational excellence across finance, governance, compliance, and cross‑functional delivery.
• Oversee department operations, financial management, budgeting and cost control.
• Manage travel arrangements and related logistics for senior executives.
• Lead and develop two direct reports, fostering a collaborative “One Team” culture.
• Ensure alignment with TVNZ’s FY30 Strategy and Audience Strategy.
• Coordinate governance processes and maintain compliance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting senior executives in fast‑moving, complex organisations.
• Strong background in business and operations support within changing environments.
• Solid understanding of finance, cost management and budgeting.
• Experience in travel management for senior staff.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership capabilities.
• Highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholder demands.
• Calm, adaptable and resilient under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on anticipating needs and presenting solutions.
• Collaborative approach to drive alignment across the organisation.
• High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
