Environmental Team Leader/Manager - Contaminated Land

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer or Scientist to lead our contaminated land team. This senior position combines hands‑on technical work with strategic leadership, client development and mentorship of emerging professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage contaminated land investigations, assessments and remediation projects.
• Develop and grow the contaminated land team, providing technical direction and mentorship.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and industry networks.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Oversee project delivery, budgets and technical documentation such as site investigation reports, environmental management plans and remedial action plans.
• Collaborate with geotechnical, civil and structural teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support the strategic growth of the environmental services offering.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contaminated land investigations, assessments and remediation.
• Strong technical capability combined with a passion for client relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Contaminated land site investigation and assessment.
• Remediation planning and implementation.
• Preparation of technical reports (Preliminary/Detailed Site Investigations, Environmental Management Plans, Remedial Action Plans, Site Validation Reports).
• Project budgeting and delivery management.
