Environmental Advisor

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support the Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana – Ara Tūhono project in New Zealand. Reporting to the Manager, Environment & Sustainability, you will help deliver the project’s environmental targets, ensure compliance with client requirements, and coordinate environmental matters across the project team and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular environmental and sustainability inspections and audits on site.
• Perform environmental monitoring, collect and maintain monitoring data and reports.
• Develop and deliver environmental training, toolbox talks and inductions.
• Create, update and manage environmental documentation.
• Report incidents and support corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Experience managing site‑based environmental hazards such as noise, water, air, heritage sites, contaminated soil, and flora/fauna.
• Advanced communication skills for liaising with construction teams and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, regulations and best‑practice publications.
