Engineering Manager

About the role

We are partnering with Kernel Wealth, a fast‑growing New Zealand fintech that is making investing simple and transparent for everyday Kiwis. As an Engineering Manager you will lead a team of engineers, shape engineering practices and help deliver high‑quality, scalable software that powers the company’s investment platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering growth and high performance.
• Improve engineering processes, tooling and CI/CD pipelines to enhance developer experience.
• Collaborate with product and technology leadership to deliver scalable, high‑quality software solutions.
• Promote a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Use engineering metrics to identify opportunities for better delivery and team performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across product, engineering and business stakeholders.
• High energy and a passion for software excellence.

Required skills

• .NET technologies
• Experience building and deploying applications in AWS or other cloud‑native environments
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
