Engineering Lead

About the role

Gallagher Security is expanding its Platform Portfolio and is looking for an Engineering Lead to provide technical direction and people leadership. Based in Hamilton, you will help shape a secure, scalable, and high‑quality product offering while mentoring a high‑performing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a defined engineering discipline, overseeing design, architecture, delivery, risk, quality and lifecycle management.
• Coach and mentor engineers, set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback and support career development.
• Collaborate closely with Product, UX/UI, Architecture, Platform, DevOps and Security teams to deliver secure and reliable solutions.
• Guide technical decision‑making, balancing delivery speed, quality, cost, compliance and long‑term maintainability.
• Champion continuous improvement, modern engineering practices, automation, standards and team effectiveness.

Required profile

• Experienced engineering leader or senior engineer ready to step into a leadership role.
• Strong engineering judgement, curiosity and confidence to influence technical decisions.
• Comfortable leading through ambiguity, making work visible and removing blockers.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
