Engineering Estimator

About the role

Egmont Air is seeking a motivated Engineering Estimator to join its Hawera‑based team. The role focuses on preparing accurate quotations for spray‑booth, dust and fume extraction systems and acting as the key link between sales, drafter and on‑site consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed quotations and design‑and‑build proposals for customer enquiries.
• Collaborate with sales staff and drafter to ensure accurate cost estimates.
• Support on‑site consultants by preparing technical proposals and presenting them to prospects.
• Provide post‑sale technical advice and maintain a database of existing customers and their equipment needs.
• Record keeping, reporting and maintaining up‑to‑date documentation.

Required profile

• High energy, self‑motivated and capable of self‑planning and learning.
• Understanding of HVAC airflow dynamics or willingness to acquire the knowledge.
• Experience preparing quotation documents and technical estimating.
• Ability to specify products and understand machinery capacities and limitations.
• Strong customer service orientation and confidence in presenting proposals.
