Employment Associate (5-7 PQE) – Guernsey

About the role

We are seeking an Employment Associate with 5‑7 years post‑qualification experience to join a leading international offshore law firm in Guernsey. The role involves advising a diverse client base on both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on a wide range of employment issues, including contracts, dismissals, discrimination and regulatory compliance.
• Handle cross‑border employment disputes and support multi‑jurisdictional matters.
• Draft and review employment policies, handbooks, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues in other offices to deliver integrated solutions for international clients.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of offshore and UK employment law developments.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years PQE in employment law, qualified in the UK, Australia or New Zealand.
• Strong academic background.
• Experience gained at a leading regional, national or international law firm.
• Willingness to relocate to Guernsey and build a long‑term offshore career.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of employment law principles and case law.
• Ability to manage complex, multi‑jurisdictional matters.
• Excellent analytical and drafting skills.
