About the role
This fixed‑term position offers a unique chance to design and deliver high‑impact programmes that connect students, alumni, and industry partners. You will lead strategic initiatives that improve employability outcomes and deepen the university’s engagement with its employer and alumni communities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and launch an Alumni Mentoring Programme.
- Design, administer, and analyse an Employer Survey and produce an Employability Report.
- Plan and execute a flagship industry engagement event.
- Gather insights from employers and alumni to inform programme design and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across university departments and external partners to ensure initiatives are relevant, sustainable, and impactful.
Required profile
- Proven experience in business development, partnership building, or stakeholder engagement within industry, education, or alumni contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead end‑to‑end projects, from discovery and costing to delivery.
- Strong relationship‑management skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic mindset capable of aligning initiatives with broader organisational goals.

- Fixed‑term contract (18 months) with a competitive Salary Band 5 package.
- Full‑time role (37.5 hours per week) based in Christchurch.
