Employee Relations Partner

About the role

Join BNZ’s People & Culture team as an Employee Relations Partner, working in an agile, collaborative environment to support a high‑performing workforce. This full‑time hybrid position is based in Auckland and requires a minimum of three days in the office each week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on performance management and disciplinary processes.
• Manage organisational structural change initiatives.
• Handle personal grievances, including mediations and bullying/harassment cases.
• Oversee absentee management, including medical incapacity.
• Ensure alignment with current and future employment legislation.
• Drive continuous improvement of ER service delivery.
• Collaborate with HR generalists and other ER partners to deliver consistent outcomes.
• Support broader HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a senior employee relations role.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and ability to interpret policies.
• Excellent facilitation, negotiation and mediation capabilities.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Law preferred but not essential).
• High curiosity for technology and demonstrated engagement with AI.
