Emergency Response Operator

About the role

Join Tunstall’s 24/7 emergency response team and help save lives from a modern call centre environment. The role is full‑time (40 hours per week) with two shift patterns available, based in Tauranga and offering hybrid work for some shifts once trained.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls triggered by medical or duress alarms.
• Dispatch emergency services when required.
• Provide calm reassurance to callers and follow clear protocols.
• Complete accurate administrative processes.
• Troubleshoot accidental or test alarm calls.

Required profile

• Empathetic, natural people‑person with a calm phone manner.
• Strong resilience and ability to stay composed during emergencies.
• High attention to detail and reliable, team‑focused attitude.
• Proven customer‑service experience and good computer skills.
• Fast, accurate typing and willingness to obtain a First Aid certificate.
• Flexibility to work rotating afternoon, night and weekend shifts.
