About the role
The Electronics Technician will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, including board‑level repairs, and will build products on production assembly lines according to detailed specifications. The role operates under general supervision while exercising substantial decision‑making authority.
Key responsibilities
- Perform on‑site diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of modular components.
- Read and interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, work orders, and engineering notes to determine required tests and equipment.
- Set up, evaluate, and test sub‑assemblies and assemblies, analysing data against specifications.
- Assemble products following Text Procedures (T.P.s) and ensure compliance with quality standards and KPIs.
- Apply 5S methodology to maintain organized work areas.
- Support Quality Assurance by calibrating items in‑house and maintaining calibration records.
- Prepare technical notes, records, and provide feedback on productivity and time constraints.
- Train, direct, and assist junior technicians as needed.
Required profile
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, test instructions).
- Experience with equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and board‑level repairs.
- Capability to work under general supervision while making discretionary decisions.
- Willingness to engage in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
