Electrician – Fault Response & Network Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Whangārei team, focusing on fault response and the maintenance of our electricity distribution network. In this hands‑on position you will diagnose faults, carry out repairs and help restore power safely and efficiently, while also performing switching, testing and earthing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to network faults and perform electrical repairs to restore service.
• Carry out switching, testing and earthing tasks (training provided if required).
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with the wider team to deliver reliable electricity service.
• Participate in an after‑hours standby roster, including evenings and weekends.

Required profile

• Registered Electrician with 3–5 years of experience in fault‑finding, maintenance or network work.
• Full driver’s licence and a team‑first attitude.
• Commitment to safety, high‑quality workmanship and willingness to join the standby roster.
