Electrical Supervisor

About the role

Elecnor New Zealand Limited is looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead its electrical operations in Tauhei, Waikato. You will oversee maintenance and installation activities, ensure compliance with safety standards, and drive the performance of a skilled technician team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance and installation across projects and operational areas.
• Ensure all work meets relevant codes, standards and Health and Safety at Work Act requirements.
• Lead, mentor and train a team of electrical technicians, providing performance feedback.
• Plan, schedule and allocate resources to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
• Conduct pre‑work inspections and safety briefings, and manage emergency electrical repairs.
• Troubleshoot faults, implement corrective solutions and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Liaise with project managers, operations teams and clients to report progress and resolve issues.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies and identify process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Valid New Zealand work rights and a current electrical licence.
• Proven experience leading electrical teams and managing projects.
• Strong knowledge of local legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Driver licence and Construction Passport.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a strong safety mindset.
