Electrical Designer – Power Distribution Projects

About the role

Based in Hastings, you will play a key role in designing, costing and providing technical support for a variety of electrical distribution projects, both overhead and underground. You will ensure projects are efficient, safe and compliant with industry standards while liaising with stakeholders to set specifications and support delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and cost electrical distribution construction projects.
• Provide technical support throughout project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Liaise with stakeholders to define technical specifications.
• Contribute to works methodology and project scoping.

Required profile

• Pragmatic and open‑minded with a background in the electrical sector.
• Design experience in distribution or a related electrical environment is desirable.
• Alternatively, experience in a field‑based role such as Line Mechanic, Electrical Fitter or Project Coordinator with a genuine interest in design.
• Relevant electrical qualification and experience designing distribution construction or leading coordination activities.
• Keen eye for detail.
