Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) Assistant

About the role

The Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) Assistant supports the annual camp week and related outdoor programmes at Diocesan School for Girls. Working closely with the EOTC Coordinator, you will ensure smooth planning, execution, and follow‑up of all EOTC activities throughout the school year.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate bookings with external providers, transport, accommodation and catering for camp weeks.
• Prepare accommodation lists, activity groups, bus and tag lists using the Synergetic system.
• Respond to queries from parents, staff and students and manage communications via Trip Planner.
• Provide administrative support for year‑level assemblies, parent‑helper evenings and gear organisation.
• Maintain health, safety and risk‑management documentation, ensure equipment compliance and oversee police vetting for parent volunteers.
• Re‑pack and review equipment after each EOTC week and assist with student charges and future‑year planning.

Required profile

• Energetic, values‑driven individual with strong organisational abilities.
• Flexible to work full‑time during Term 1 and Term 4 and part‑time (≈25 hrs/week) in Terms 2‑3.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with parents, staff and external partners.
• Attention to detail in health, safety and equipment management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Synergetic school management system.
• Experience using Trip Planner or similar parent‑communication platforms.
