EDI Assistant Manager – Te Puna

About the role

We are seeking a motivated EDI Assistant Manager to join our operational team at the Te Puna site. Reporting to the EDI Manager, you will oversee the flow of electronic data between our packhouse and Zespri, ensuring accuracy during the busy harvest season.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and verify packhouse data to Zespri systems accurately and on time.
• Lead, train and support the EDI/EAN Operators, maintaining procedural compliance.
• Ensure correct bar‑coding of packs with accurate grower, size and variety details.
• Assist shipping and site teams to meet operational requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Inventory, Logistics, Harvest Coordinators, Quality) and external partners (Zespri, AVOCO, Yieldia) to resolve data issues.
• Support the EDI Manager on projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Uphold health and safety policies and company procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data management, inventory systems or EDI operations.
• Ability to train, supervise and motivate a small team.
• Strong planning, prioritising and time‑management skills, especially during peak season.
• High accuracy in data entry and record‑keeping.
• Flexible, self‑motivated and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work flexible hours during the March‑June harvest period.

Required skills

• Experience with EDI software.
• Familiarity with Radfords system.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.
