Early Childhood Educator (ECE Teacher)

About the role

Inspired Education is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator to join ACG Queenstown Early Learning School. You will deliver a rich, inquiry‑based curriculum to children aged 3 months to 6 years, drawing on the NZ Reggio Emilia philosophy, RIE and Te Whāriki. This full‑time permanent role is based in two purpose‑built campuses in Central Queenstown.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement play‑based learning experiences that support cognitive, social, emotional and physical development.
• Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
• Observe, assess and track each child’s progress, using evidence to inform future planning.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, high‑quality Early Years provision.
• Support early language, communication, numeracy and social skills through structured and play‑based activities.
• Participate in school events, trips and extracurricular activities.
• Apply safeguarding, behaviour and pastoral care policies consistently.

Required profile

• Recognised Early Years teaching qualification.
• Relevant experience working with children aged 3.5 to 6 years.
• Commitment to inclusive, inquiry‑based early childhood education.
• Strong communication skills with families and team members.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NZ Reggio Emilia philosophy, RIE and Te Whāriki frameworks.
