Early Careers Programme – Graduate & Internship Opportunities

About the role

Babcock is seeking expressions of interest for the 2026/2027 cohort of its Early Careers Programme in New Zealand. The programme offers graduate and internship pathways across engineering, project management, and procurement & supply chain, providing hands‑on experience within Defence contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Support project teams on multidisciplinary Defence contracts.
• Assist with engineering design, project planning, or supply‑chain activities depending on the chosen pathway.
• Collaborate with mentors and peers to develop technical and professional competencies.
• Contribute to the growth of Babcock’s capability and talent pipeline.

Required profile

• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand and ability to obtain New Zealand Defence Security Clearance.
• For the Graduate Programme: final year of a university degree or completed degree/master’s, start February 2027.
• For the Internship Programme: penultimate year of relevant studies, start November 2026.
