Duty Manager – Luxury Hotel Front‑of‑House Lead

About the role

Rosewood Kauri Cliffs is seeking a dedicated Duty Manager to lead front‑of‑house operations in its luxury coastal retreat. This full‑time permanent position ensures guests receive the highest standards of service across all touchpoints while supporting the Lodge Management team.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, provide personalized orientation of lodge facilities and services.
• Maintain proactive guest engagement, anticipating needs throughout stays.
• Support Food & Beverage operations and step in to assist service when required.
• Coordinate guest movements and communicate effectively with internal departments.
• Assist Lodge Management with daily operations and service leadership.
• Lead staff training, team briefings, and communication.
• Uphold high service standards across all front‑of‑house areas.
• Handle administrative duties such as reporting and rostering support.
• Represent hotel management and make operational decisions in the absence of senior leaders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in hospitality, preferably within luxury hotels, resorts or lodges.
• Proven leadership experience in front‑of‑house or food & beverage operations.
• Excellent communication and guest‑engagement skills.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional presentation with keen attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to motivate teams.
