Duty Manager

About the role

The Lula Inn is looking for an enthusiastic Duty Manager to lead our vibrant team at the South‑Pacific‑inspired venue on Viaduct Harbour. You will be the first point of contact for guests and staff during your shift, ensuring smooth operations and a memorable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities during assigned shifts.
• Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and ensure all permits are up to date.
• Manage cash handling, stock control and basic financial reporting.
• Lead, coach and motivate team members to deliver consistent, high‑quality service.
• Handle guest enquiries, complaints and special requests promptly and professionally.

Required profile

• Current Duty Manager’s License.
• At least one year of experience in a similar hospitality management role.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Proven leadership abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of local licensing regulations.
• Cash handling and basic financial reporting.
