Draftsman – CAD Drawing for CNC Production

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Draftsman to join our Rotorua team at High Duty Plastics. The role involves producing precise CAD drawings that support CNC manufacturing of plastic components. You will collaborate with customers and the workshop team to ensure designs meet production requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create accurate CAD drawings for CNC production.
• Interpret engineering sketches and specifications.
• Update and maintain the drawing library.
• Liaise with customers to clarify design intent.
• Support workshop staff with technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with industry drafting standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement of drafting processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in drafting or a related role.
• Ability to work on-site full time.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
