Distribution Centre Manager

About the role

As the Distribution Centre Manager you will lead the Auckland DC team, ensuring a safe working environment and the integrity and security of the site, its inventory and assets while supporting the growth of the New Zealand business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full compliance with company policies, legislative requirements and specifically Transitional Facility and Hazardous Substance Management.
• Ensure the operational structure of the DC is flexible enough to meet service‑level agreements and changing business demands.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal business partners to maximise commercial results.
• Identify efficiency opportunities, develop and implement solutions, and sustain productivity and performance.
• Manage change initiatives such as promotions, new product ranges and acquisitions.
• Lead the Operations leadership team, drive a high‑performing culture and uphold outstanding safety leadership for staff, contractors and visitors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a high‑volume retail or FMCG warehousing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams while meeting KPI and financial targets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Logistics/Warehousing or equivalent experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and presentation abilities.
